Hong Kong Style Steamed Soon Hock
Ingredients:
- 1 Soon Hock fish (cleaned and gutted)
- Ginger slices
- Scallions (green onions)
- Light soy sauce
- Dark soy sauce
- Shaoxing wine (optional)
- Oil
Instructions:
- Prepare the fish: Rinse the Soon Hock thoroughly and pat dry. Make a few slits on the fish to allow flavors to penetrate.
- Season the fish: Stuff the fish cavity with ginger slices and a few scallions. Drizzle with light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and Shaoxing wine (optional).
- Steaming: Place the seasoned Soon Hock on a steaming rack. Steam for 8-10 minutes or until the fish is cooked through and flaky.
- Serving: Garnish with chopped scallions and drizzle with hot oil for added flavor. Serve immediately.
